Nice clean quiet place tucked away in an alley located a few streets before the crowds of the fish market. Upon their advice we sat at the counter so we could order whatever piece of sashimi or sushi we fancied. The experience was fantastic, as we were able to directly communicate to the chef our customized requirements. Our favourite was the tuna. Having said that everything here is good, and certainly a world better than their other branches and other brands branches. If, like us, you've had a bad experience with others, try this. While the fish market has its touristy appeal, I came to the conclusion that sashimi is meant to be eaten in a clean, quiet and elegant environment, which comprises the whole experience.

Wonderful experience. Best Sushi I ever ate so far and prices are totally fair if you compare them to other Sushi-Restaurants in Tokio. BUT come early or make a reservation. This place is known for its good Sushi and people wait there around 30min before it opens. Totally recommending this restaurant !

Located in a place not in a quite street in Tsukiji , it’s super convenient as it’s close to the Tsukiji market. Great taste!

My favourite Sushi restaurant in Tokyo. I visit every trip to Tokyo this place since specifically the tuna is amazing. The service is impeccable proven by them actually creating a Mikey Mouse head with cucumber and natto sushi for our daughter.

Located in Tsukiji area, it'a wide restaurant. Good food, delicious sushi, and nice sake & lemon squash. Service is also good.

Great value for money sushi 🍣! Toro was nice and fresh, cooked shrimp was sweet and went well with their mayo. Crowded, but that's part of the quintissential Tsukiji experience.

A more comfortable place to eat compared to those shops in the Tsukiji outer market area. It is very popular along the locals, we had to queue for a while. They have an English menu, they also have this waiter who spoke great English. Felt a bit pricey to me

Real Fesh Sashimi 👍👍👍

Absolutely wonderful food and service. We were 3 young people from the US, looking for a great sushi lunch around the market. This place is 100% worth going to. Resosnably priced (we all got full on about $25/person), the hostess spoke perfect English, and was super helpful. The patrons were also happy to share their beloved restaurant with us.

One of the better Sushi Zanmais in town, Okunoin has a slightly more fancy interior than others with a nice little patio. Staff are helpful and the sushi is... Zanmai of course which implies good cost performance and open late. Get a counter seat, enjoy the seasonal specialties and stop freaking ordering tuna and imported salmon.

Good place to take people to do their own "pick and mix" of sushi. Particularly good place to go if you have a large group of guests and want to find somewhere right before or after sightseeing Tsukiji Market

Excellent sushi nicely presented and you can taste the proximity to Tsukiji.You may sit at the counter, which I like for the sake of watching the chefs doing their thing, or on tatami mats with a nice Japanese garden background which is just beautiful.To avoid considerable waiting times, you better make a reservation in advance.There are a few other Zanmai branches just around the corner, but I recommend this one for sushi.
